We’re all trying to accomplish things in life and at work. So much so that Americans are taking fewer and fewer sick days.
Why is this the trend? It’s not that people are self-centered and want to come to work to give their fellow employees germs. In today’s era, time is of the essence. People, whether it’s clients or co-workers, expect information immediately. So even if you do stay home, you’re still likely to be plugged in, telecommuting and answering calls and emails.
This trend isn’t necessarily a good thing, as illness is mother nature’s sweet nudge for us to slow down!
