More Sleep Could Equal Less Pain
Don't push yourself to exercise. If you feel run down, take a day off.
If you can’t sleep, it’s likely you are dealing with some pain.
If you are in pain, it’s harder to sleep. It’s an endless cycle.
A sleep-lab study found that one night of sleep deprivation reduces a person’s pain threshold by more than 15 percent. Another study said that small changes in the amount of sleep could predict someone’s pain level the next day.
More studies need to be done but researchers are trying to understand how people can manage pain better based on the amount of sleep they get.
