Facebook has been working on this new feature since April when Mark Zuckerberg's old Facebook messages disappeared from inboxes years after he sent them. Zuckerberg's apologized and promised to bring the feature to everyone.

First update the app on your phone.

Tap on the message in a conversation and select remove.

The app will ask if you want to remove the message for everyone or just you.

You only have 10 minutes to delete your messages.
