Valentine's Day may be best known as a holiday for sweethearts, but for many pet owners it's also a day to say "I love you" to the furry friends that make our lives better every day.

In fact, a recent study by Purina shows that 13% of pet owners in a relationship would rather spend Valentine's Day with their pet than their significant other, proving that the power of the human/animal bond doesn't take a holiday.

Half of women and nearly one third of men say "I love you" to their pet multiple times per day.

  • 41% of pet owners say they are likely to post a picture of their pet on Social Media for Valentine'sDay
  • 20% of pet owners are likely to organize a Valentine's Day themed dinner date with their pet.
  • More than 50% of pet owners agree that their pet already eats better than they do.

This is a few photos of our little Valentine Gunner Boy. :-)
