The man has Down Syndrome and a condition that affects bone tissue.
While a mystery donor presented the wheelchair, WI Medical in St. Petersburg provided the control panel for the chair. Between WI Medical and Pride Mobility in Tampa, a $32,000 wheelchair was donated to Derrick Warnack.
Southeastern Medical in Lakeland stepped in and fitted the chair for Derrick.
All of this for the son of a single mom, America, who provides the sole care for her son.
