“Puss in Boots 2” Is in the Works

A sequel to Puss In Boots is in the works and the Oscar-winning co-director of Spider-Man: Into the SpiderVerse, Bob Persichetti will direct the film.

The first movie was released in 2011 and made $550 million plus was nominated for an Oscar.

The Puss we know now made his debut in Shrek 2 and was voiced by Antonio Banderas. Whether or not he'll voice the character for the sequel isn't known yet.

A release date for the sequel isn't known, but in the meantime, Persichetti and his team at Dreamworks are working on animation for the film.
