How Long Do Men Wait To Change Their Sheets
When you lay down after a long day, I think most would want to feel the soft comfort and freshness of clean sheets on their bed. Right? Keeping your bed clean can be important to your rest and relaxation.
Mattress Advisor conducted a study that found that men say they wait 11 days to change their sheets that have been “soiled through sexual activity”, while women say they waited only 4 days.
And surprisingly, people apparently think that a one night stand is less disgusting with men saying they wait up to 18 days after one to change their sheets, while women say they wait only 2 days.
In general, men admitted they only change their sheets on average every 45 days. But the “average” person says they change their sheets every 24 days, and that they feel their sheets get gross after 35 days.
Other interesting finding:
- 43% of men will change their sheets before a night out if there is a possibility of sex later on
- 33% of women will change their sheets before a night out if there is a possibility of sex later on
- People with partners report changing their sheets more often and married couples change their sheets the most.
While I’m not sure what all this information really means to anyone, but it is an interesting study of the differences between men and women. At the least you can see where you fall on the average. For me, I know for some reason there is nothing like the feeling of crawling into a bed with clean sheets. They somehow feel “different” and I feel I sleep better.
