According to IndieWire, Spielberg plans to get support to restrict streaming movies from Oscars consideration at the meetings in April.
According to sources, Spielberg believes that movies on streaming services should be considered for Emmys because, in his eyes, the service should be considered TV.
While Spielberg has some that agree with him, the possible change isn't being taken lightly by those in the streaming service medium. One of the biggest films to gain attention this year was Roma, that aired on Netflix; which won several awards including Oscars.
