Ginger Or Mary Ann?
It’s the age-old question, which do you prefer, Mary Ann or Ginger?
If you grew up watching the hit TV show Gilligan’s Island, then you know exactly what I’m talking about. This blog is an attempt to (once and for all) find out which character viewers prefer, Mary Ann or Ginger.
Long before my wife, Christine and I ever met Dawn Wells (who we have known for over 15 years now), I was always attracted to Mary Ann. Her farm-girl innocence and sweetness far out-shined the glamorous high-heel wearing, ball-gowned movie-star Ginger.
For decades, Dawn and I shared the same agent in Hollywood, Fred Wostbrock (God rest his soul) from Kazarian, Spencer & Ruskin. That’s how we originally met. Years later Christine and I would stay with Dawn at her log cabin in Driggs, Idaho. I even hosted the Idaho Film Festival for Dawn (she was the co-chair that year). We have shared Trick-or-Treating with Dawn at her home in Taluca Lake, CA and Christine has gone to see plays and have lunch with Dawn many times.
