Idris Elba Replaces Will Smith As Deadshot in ‘Suicide Squad’ Sequel

It looks highly likely that Idris Elba will be replacing Will Smith in Suicide Squad 2.

Will Smith can not reprise his role as ‘Deadshot’ due to a scheduling conflict. Suicide Squad grossed $746 million worldwide. The release date for Suicide Squad 2 is August 6, 2021.

Idris Elba is hosting SNL this weekend with musical guest, Khalid. He will also star in the Fast and the Furious spinoff, Hobbs and Shaw alongside Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Jason Statham.
