New Bill Would Punish People For Leaving Dogs Behind During A Hurricane
Sen. Joe Gruters of Sarasota filed a bill that would make it a first degree misdemeanor to leave your dogs behind during a hurricane.
The bill is called SB 1738 and it you could face up to a year in jail and a $5000 fine for leaving your dog behind during a hurricane.
