Sex And The City ReBoot
Yes it’s true, there is another “Sex And The City” series in the works. But according the Hollywood Reporter, it may not be what you think it is.
The new series is being based on the upcoming book by “Sex And The City” author Candace Bushnell. Her new book will be aptly titled, “Is There Still Sex In The City”? Its supposed to be about sex, dating and friendships after the age of 50 in New York City. An obvious follow up to the wildly popular original HBO series.
Paramount Television and Anonymous Content have acquired the rights to develop the series for Candace Bushnell’s follow-up book. They say they are thrilled to be able to continue that conversation from what they feel is “an under-represented point of view of women in their 50s”. They answer the question with this, “Yes! There is more sex in the city!”
One big change is the book, doesn’t follow the lives of the original characters and is to be set between the Upper East Side of Manhattan and a country enclave known as The Village. It appears a lot is till to be determined.
So, for all the crazed Sex And The City fans anxiously awaiting the next movie, this may be all you get. The new book will be out August 6th, but there is no release date as yet on the series. So stay tuned!
