Top Traits Of The “Perfect Roommate”

Think your roommate is the perfect roommate? Check out this new survey that list the top traits that a perfect roommate possess.

A website named the SpareRoom.com talked to 6,000 people and found out what qualities people want in a good roommate and qualities like respectful, responsible and honest were on the list. Obviously most of the top things we want will apply wether its living with a friend, a stranger or even your partner.

Here are the Top Ten that were most important to the people surveyed:

  1. Respectful
  2. Responsible
  3. Honest
  4. Clean/neat
  5. Friendly
  6. Quiet
  7. Non-Smoker -*(people who DO smoke made the list at #18, likely because smokers want to live with other smokers who won’t complain about it.)
  8. Age – ceretain range
  9. Similar interests/hobbies
  10. Love for animals
