The Current

Sunday Mornings 6:00am

Remember Joey (on “Friends”) and his “smell the fart” acting method. Well, maybe there’s something to it. Not for acting but for health benefits.

According to a new study, hydrogen sulfide, the gas that’s released when humans pass gas, has health benefits when administered in low doses.

Not sure how to interpret this study. Low doses? What does that equal out to? The study explains that if you’re trying to lower the risk of things like dementia, cancer, arthritis, storks, heart attack, and more putting up with your mate’s gas could be beneficial.

Will you now put up with your mate’s gas now that you’ve heard this study? Do you think this study is a ruse to get people more comfortable about passing gas?
