At the time, I didn't think it was littering or dangerous to marine life and wildlife, but it really is. Florida along with California, Connecticut, Arizona, Maine, Tennessee and many other are introducing a bill to ban the mass release of balloons.
John Peabody, a lobsterman from New England says you would not believe how much balloon debris he sees out in the ocean. It's the same here in the Gulf Of Mexico, so lets find a better way to remember people.
