Texting and driving is one step away from becoming a primary offense. That means a cop could pull you over for no other reason than you being spotted texting while driving. As the law is now, you have to be committing some other offense like speeding or running a red light. The bill just a few minutes ago passed and it now heads to the governor. ABC Action News says it wasn’t even close. The bill passed by a 108-7 margin.
