Want to skip a pricey coffee to go? You can brew your own at home.

And if you want to make sure it's delicious, you'll want to follow these three tips:

1. Make sure you're using quality water. If you have hard water or use a water softener, you definitely don't want to use the tap. Bottled water or filtered water will make your coffee taste much better.

2. You want fresh coffee? Do your own grinding. If it's the pre-ground coffee, it gets stale more quickly.

3. Add full milk or creamer. You're just wasting good coffee by watering it down if you add skim. And the number of calories you're saving is negligible.
