Florida Mom Charged After Hundreds Of Bugs Crawl Out Of Backpack
A Florida mom has been charged with child neglect.
Jessica Stevenson, 33 of Milton was arrested after a teacher noticed the second-grader was wearing the same clothes for a week. The school was providing the girl new clothes, but the clothes would be worn everyday until they were worn out and the school provided another outfit. On one occasion, hundreds of bugs crawled out of the child’s backpack in the lunch room. A wellness check was done by authorities and Stevenson was arrested. The little girl has 4 siblings who were removed from the home.
