Ticks can carry deadly illnesses, including Lyme Disease. Worried you've been bitten by a tick? Here's what you should look for: a bull's eye-type lesion.
If you need to remove a tick, follow these tips:
Use fine-tipped tweezers to grab the tick as close to your skin's surface as possible.
Do not use vaseline, a match, nail polish or any other kooky remedies to remove a tick.
Never crush a tick with your fingers.
Wash your hands and the bite area with soap and water.
AND...Don't forget to check your pets regularly for ticks.
