Seinfeld Episode Comes True
This is a story right out of a Seinfeld episode. And if you think this can’t happen, think again.
I don’t know about you but I am a huge Seinfeld fan. I can pretty much quote every line from every episode. So, when I saw this story I knew I had to share it.
When an expectant New York Mom arrived at the hospital in labor, the nurse took a routine urine sample. To the mother’s shock and horror, she was told she tested positive for opiates. Knowing that she was not a drug user the Mom was panicked by the results.
As it turns out, the mother had eaten a bagel covered in poppy seeds. Poppy seeds are derived from the opium plant. So, be aware that anywhere from one to three bagels with poppy seeds can produce positive tests on a urine toxicology.
I think this is HILARIOUS!
