Service Dog Killed By Gator At Palmetto Dog Park
Pet owners are warning others after another dog was killed by a gator at Dog Leg Park at Buffalo Creek in Palmetto.
Andrew Epp’s chocolate lab service dog got away from him just outside the park, where there is a marsh with alligators. Witnesses say Epp came out of the marsh area with his dog covered in blood. Another witness says he knew of at least three dogs killed by gators at that very same place. Snake and gator signs have been installed this week in hopes of preventing another accident. Andrew Epp’s sadly was so distraught about losing his chocolate lab that he took his own life the very next day.
Friends have stepped in to start a GoFund Me page for Epp’s Mother to help with funeral and relocation arrangements.
