The World Health Organization (WHO) has officially classified ‘burn out’ as a disease. What does that mean?
The disease is classified as “employment or unemployment related problems” with three specific symptoms:
- Exhaustion
- Feeling negative, cynical or detached from your job
- Less efficiency and effectiveness at work
By 2022, doctors will be able to diagnose and possibly prescribe treatments that will be covered by insurance.
