College basketball season may be a long way off, but Gator basketball recruitment is in full swing.

With the 2019 NBA Draft scheduled for June 20th, the players have made their decisions on whether to stay in school or go pro. All we are waiting for are the decisions of some graduate transfers for the 2019-2020 season.

One of the biggest names still deciding his own fate is Kerry Blackshear Jr. Kerry is one of the most sought-after graduate transfers on the market, since he made his announcement to leave Virginia Tech. And the good news for us is that UF is said to be one of his top two picks.

Blackshear, a 6'10", 250 pound forward has been playing for Virginia Tech, but he is originally from Orlando. Being able to be close to his hometown is definitely a draw for Kerry and the Gators.

But don't celebrate just yet, because Florida isn’t the only program in pursuit of Blackshear.  The Kentucky Wildcats are said to be the other school in Blackshear's "top two" schools.  And Coach John Calipari is well known for his recruiting skills, especially for a senior player looking to go pro after his last year. So, time will tell and we will have to hold our collective breaths waiting for an answer from Kerry.

In addition, a few other SEC schools vying for Blackshear’s service are Arkansas and Texas A&M. Oh, and by the way, Virginia Tech is still trying to keep their star from officially leaving.

Luckily, it is still rumored that Florida is at the top of Blackshear's list. Check out the tweet below:

Blackshear is said to be visiting schools this week and likely to make a final decision next week. Blackshear's addition to the Gator BB squad this season would really boost our ranking incredibly. Finger's crossed Gator Nation. ;-)
