Those self serve ordering kiosks are becoming more and more popular. And now The Wall Street Journal reports that your french fries may soon be made by robots. Robotic deep-fryers are being designed to speed things up. Ever been to a McD's during a rush when they didn't have enough fries ready? Not only will they make fries, but they'll be able to plop chicken and fish into the vats too.

Another change you could see? Voice-activated drive thrus! They're testing out voice recognition software for when you order at the speaker. They say all these changes have one goal in mind: "Improving the experience of the drive through, in particular, speed of service." A McDonald's rep says these high-tech upgrades are designed to help employees not replace them.
