Wow! Remember this crazy story? A Canadian billionaire wanted the Tampa Bay Rays to split their time between St. Pete and Montreal. It seemed so far-fetched. ESPN reports that Major League Baseball might be on board with this idea! Under the plan, the Rays would start their season here in St. Pete. Then from June until August, they would play all their home games in Montreal. At the end of the season, they would come back to Tropicana Field.

So who is this guy? Stephen Bronfman is the son of a billionaire. At one point he worked in the marketing department of the Montreal Expos when his father owned the team. Word is his group already has land in mind where they’d have a stadium.
