When ya gotta go, the last thing you wanna see when you lift that lid is a frog. But surprise! Welcome to summer in Florida. So why have these amphibians moved in to your pooper? They like the AC as much as you do. The heat drives frogs this time of year to find a cool spot to chill out.

One suggestion is to put a leaf strainer or screening fabric over any openings or vents. A radio friend of mine who dealt with this a few years ago says, “This is why I had mesh installed over my drain pipes at my old house. Fixed the frog toilet problem. Never happened again.”

Want more good news? A neighbor of mine warned that if you don't deal with the frogs in your toilet issue right away, snakes sometimes follow the frogs because they're “looking for a snack.”
