He traveled the world but Anthony Bourdain had a solid appreciation for an iconic Florida breakfast-on-the-cheap institution. He LOVED Waffle House. Yes, the man who dined at 5 star restaurants around the globe thought those hash browns were the bomb. Can't say I blame him. I order mine smothered, covered, diced and chunked please. Half the fun of going to Waffle House to me is watching the symphony of chaos behind the counter. I have such admiration for their employees. They work hard and always deliver a great meal. For some, Waffle House isn't fancy enough. But for Anthony and me, it's perfect. Anthony would have turned 63 today (June 25). His loss is still felt and has encouraged dialogue about suicide prevention.
