11 Americans have died on vacation in the Dominican Republic. According to a study done by ForwardKeys, trips booked to the Dominican Republic are down 74.3 percent in July and August compared to last year. The number of cancelled trips are up 51.2% and that number holds for people who will not get their money back when they cancel. It doesn't seem to matter as the number of deaths keeps increasing.

Delta Airlines announced earlier this week that they would drop the change fees for travelers who wanted to cancel their flights to the DR.

Meanwhile the Travel Ministry in the DR continues to say the deaths have no connection.

The FBI is assisting the investigation and toxicology results will be coming soon.
