Earlier this week, we shared the good news story of a Clearwater server grieving the loss of a pet getting a $5000 tip. According to Clearwater Police the woman who left the big tip was mad at her boyfriend because he wouldn't fly her home to New York.
Police say, Serena Wolfe, 24, from Buffalo, New York used her boyfriend's credit card to eat at the Clear Sky Cafe in Clearwater for $55 and the $5000 tip. Her oyfriend called his credit card company who then notified Clear Sky Cafe that they had already paid the server the $5,000 tip.
The boyfriend told Police he believed Wolfe may have been drinking at the time. Wolfe later admitted to using the credit card and the police arrested her for Grand Theft.
