For the month of July, the Humane Society of Polk County and the Haines City Police Department’s COPS unit are teaming up together to acquire pet supplies and bolster pet programs.

Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, during the month of July, the agency will be accepting donated pet supplies in the lobby which is located at 35400 U.S. 27.

Donations will go toward the Humane Society’s building fund and general operations expenses.

They will also be supporting the Humane Society’s SNIP fund, which is the spaying and neutering program and the Second Chance Fund, which provides emergency aid for pet owners’ veterinary expenses.

This is a great opportunity for our community to give back and help shelter animals in need. For a list of needed donations click HERE.

Let’s all do what we can to help out. And thank you.
