Time to save a few dollars as we get ready for the new school year. Classes begin in the Tampa Bay area around August 12-14, depending on which county you live. That's less than a month away! The means the tax holiday is almost upon us.
From August 2 through August 6, 2019, no sales tax will be taken on items such as:
- Clothing, footwear, and certain accessories selling for $60 or less per item,
- Certain school supplies selling for $15 or less per item, and
- Personal computers and certain computer-related accessories selling for $1,000 or less per item, when purchased for noncommercial home or personal use.
