You can go to Walt Disney World over and over and still not see everything. Even when you do go, there are some secrets that knowing might make your visit just a little more magical.
When you're walking down Main Street in the Magic Kingdom, you may detect the scent of popcorn. That's because they pump in that scent.
If you're at Epcot, take a look at Morocco and from between Future World and the World Showcase. You'll see the Moroccan scenery, and part of it is actually from Disney's Hollywood Studios. Disney Imagineers saw the back of the Hollywood Tower of Terror and decorated the back of it to match up with the style of Morocco.
Do you miss Mr. Toad's Wild Ride? Mr. Toad is still at the park. You can see him at the Haunted Mansion. Outside the ride, there's a pet graveyard in which you can find him standing up in the back on the left.
If you're on line for the Haunted Mansion, you can also play with the scenery along the way. You have the Ravenscroft keyboard, named for Thurl Ravenscroft whose voice you can hear throughout the park on different attractions.
Not all of these secrets are kept inside the parks.
If you go visit the Polynesian Resort, there's a lounge called Trader Sam's Grog Grotto. It's a hidden gem that doesn't fit many, but when you do get in, it's a visit to the South Pacific. The menu is fun and when certain cocktails are ordered, some strange things can happen inside the lounge. Even some of the bar stools do some strange things. It's kind of kid friendly until 8pm when it becomes accessible to only 21 and up.
