Why Did I Leave Los Angeles?
I spent many years of my life pursuing a career in California. First on radio… then television.
I have probably spent 25 years of my life living in the Los Angeles area. When I first arrived in L.A. back in the early 80’s… I fell in love with the city. It was clean and beautiful. Being in downtown L.A. at night was magical to me… now it’s a nightmare!
Los Angeles is not what it once was. While Hollywood television shows portray the L.A. area as a beautiful, exciting and vibrant metropolis (and some of it is), they neglect to show the reality of what is going on all around town.
Now, one of the local news affiliates, KNBC Los Angeles has started to openly report on the crisis, to the dismay of many. And television and radio host Dr. Drew Pinsky says that; bubonic plague – a pandemic that killed tens of millions of people during the 14th century – is “likely” already present in Los Angeles.
Attached is the NBC4 video below titled, Streets Of Shame.
The KNBC4 video above only reports on one street, in one area. As you can see by the map above, the red dots represent dozens and dozens of other homeless camps with the same issues.
