Florida State Attorney Will No Longer Prosecute Certain Marijuana Cases
State Attorney Jack Cambell put out a notice that he will no longer prosecute marijuana cases unless there is a confession or the development of a new test for hemp. Bottom line, there is no test that distinguishes between marijuana and hemp.
Because there is no test, Cambell’s office wrote a letter to law enforcement notifying them that he will no longer be authorizing search warrants based on “presumptive tests” officers smelling marijuana or dogs alerting to marijuana.
