A new Bill has been filed to decriminalize marijuana in the state of Florida.
According to Tampa’s ABC Action News, the Bill was proposed on Monday as HB 25 and will decriminalize certain amounts of the substance, and reduces penalties for possession of 20 grams or less and products containing 600 milligrams or less of THC.
The law was proposed by State Representative Shervin Jones:
Happy to introduce my first bill of the 2020 legislative session! Making our communities equitable and safer starts with ensuring that people have a fair shot. Floridians need reform of cannabis laws, and we will make sure we end the injustice of overcriminalization. #WEthePEOPLE pic.twitter.com/0L79ENpRhH
