Polk County School On Lockdown Because Of Gun Sighting
In Polk County, the Davenport School of the Arts was put on lock down. A “suspicious person” was reported nearby. Now we know what happened from Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd.
Two men in black with weapons were reportedly seen outside a house near the school. The investigation revealed they had BB guns and they had been shooting targets on their property. The property was less than a mile from the school.
The lockdown was lifted before 10:30 a.m.
In a message on the Polk County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page with a picture of the BB guns that were seen by the 911 caller.
