Dale Earnhardt, Jr.’s crash was different than he’s used to. This one was in a plane.

Aboard a privately owned Cessna airplane with his wife and 15-year-old daughter, the plane rolled off the end of a runway.

The plane crashed onto a highway near Elizabethton Municipal Airport. Everyone did escape safely, and everyone was taken to the hospital to be checked out.

The plane had two pilots, and no, Dale was not one of them.

NASCAR has suggested that Earnhardt, Jr. take a few days off from his job as commentator to spend time with his family.

Dale’s sister posted on Twitter:

Plane crash on stoney Creek. Looks like everyone out okEdit: Earnhardt Jr.'s plane. Everyone is out and ok.-first responders were already on the scene that's why I didn't intervene. I'm not trained. -i made no money off the video. It was to show he was ok.
