The Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center has become so overcrowded, that both dogs and cats will be available for adoption with no adoption fees.

This weekend only, Hillsborough County residents looking to add either a dog or cat to their family, may do so without the normal fees involved.

The adoption-ready animals have already been spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, and vaccinated for rabies. All they need now, is a loving home from you.

The free adoption event is spurred by massive overcrowding. The center takes in an average of 50 animals a day. That is so many animals they must waive fees in order to facilitate homes for these pets in need, (which is their ultimate goal).

Officials from the center encourage interested parties to review the list of pets available for adoption on line first, then come in to meet the animal and see if they are a fit for their family. You can review the pets available HERE.

The Pet Resource Center is located at at 440 N. Falkenburg Road in Tampa. For complete information click HERE.
