HOA Tells Clearwater Police Officer To Move Cruiser

A Clearwater police officer is being forced by the homeowners association to move her car or face big fines.

The HOA of the East Lake neighborhood has warned the officer to stop parking her police cruiser on her driveway or face fines for the violation.

State law allows HOA's to ban commercial vehicles from being parked in front of homes, but the state recognizes the department-issued vehicle is not a commercial vehicle.

The homeowners association hasn't commented publicly on the situation.
