Dorian may be losing steam as the monster hurricane continues to make its way towards the US coast, but officials at many of Florida's theme parks are taking no chances.

On Monday, Walt Disney World announced that they would be shutting early on Tuesday, citing its "longstanding commitment to safety." The resort hotels will remain open.

Seaworld Orlando also followed suit, closing completely on Tuesday, as well as theater operators Regal, Cinemark and AMC keeping screens at some locations dark.

Universal Studios Orlando has decided to keep the rides rolling, saying they will "continue to closely monitor the weather," according to multiple reports.

Have you ever had vacation plans altered by the weather? What did you do instead?
