Springsteen openly expressed his distaste of the cover version of his song "Blinded By The Light". Springsteen recorded the song in 1973 and then Manfred Mann's version came out in 1976. Manfred Mann's version shot straight to number one and it turned out to be the only #1 Sprinsteen ever wrote. So why does he hate it? Springsteen hates the fact that the word "deuce" clearly sounds like "douche" in the cover version. One is about a car and the other is about a feminine hygiene product. Springsteen also noted that "douche" is what people yell out when the song comes on, so yeah, he pretty much hates it.
