UPDATE: Grand opening announced!
The construction of the new St. Pete Pier continues and we now have a timeline for completion of the work as well as a public grand opening. WUSF reports work should be done by the end of this year. They say the exterior work is pretty much wrapped up. Now it's all about doing the interior. A playground and solar panels are getting the finishing touches right now. The $80 million project will be done for all to see for anticipated grand opening in the spring of 2020.
