One of the largest retailers in America, “Walmart” has announced that they will no longer be selling e-cigarettes, due to the recent number of deaths tied to the vaping product.

The company released the statement below:

“Given the growing federal, state and local regulatory complexity and uncertainty regarding e-cigarettes, we plan to discontinue the sale of electronic nicotine delivery products at all Walmart and Sam’s Club U.S. locations. We will complete our exit after selling through current inventory.”

The CDC continues to study the effects of vaping and state that more than 500 people have been sickened with severe lung disease connected to vaping. And that number includes 150 in the past week alone.

As time passes you may expect to see more retailers follow and also discontinue carrying the product until further research can pinpoint what is causing the disease.
