School Reverses ‘Zero Dating Policy’ For Fifth Graders

Can you imagine if you were told you had to end your 5th grade crush in two days. Riverside Elementary School in Indiana meant well when the decided to enforce a zero dating policy, they wanted to protect kids from break ups and broken hearts.

I'm trying to picture the panic this would have caused me with my crush on Steve Pappas in 5th grade, I mean ....the drama and possibly the end of the world. The school called the reaction to the new policy "alarming".  Teachers at the Elementary School wanted to save kids from heartbreak and focus their attention back on school work instead of who's dating who and who's breaking up. The The school ended up reversing the policy because the letter written by a few teachers was not reviewed by the Principle.
