Hipper yes, with all the cool development going on in downtown Tampa. But right now, we're talking temperatures.

Developers working on the Water Street Tampa project want to do just that: make it a little more comfortable for residents and tourists, year-round.

How will they make a cooler, more walkable downtown?

By adding lots of shaded spaces with trees and greenery, quality air monitoring, and light color pavers.

Developers want to show other Tampa neighborhoods how they can design outdoor space that can beat the heat.

The majority of the project will be done by 2021.
