A United Airlines flight left Orlando this morning shortly after 9am. At 10:45am, it landed at Tampa International. A passenger said that smoke could be smelled in the cabin. Channel 8 reports there was no smoke was found and that the landing was done out of caution. The plane was already out in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico on its way to Houston. They’re going to look the plane over and check it out. Passengers were put on alternate flights. But at this point, it appears to have been a false alarm.
