Following the successes of "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Rocket Man," the late David Bowie has become the latest rocker to have his life story immortalized -- only this time around, it will be released in comic book form.

"Bowie: Stardust, Rayguns and Moonage Daydreams" will document Bowie's rise to fame, his Ziggy Stardust period and his effect on pop culture, says the graphic bio's publisher, Insight Editions. It's expected to feature cartoon cameos from Bowie's famous friends as well as some of the imaginary characters from his music.

The comic is due to drop on January 7th.

Would Bowie make a good subject for a big-screen biopic? What other rock icons would you like to see featured in comic books?
