Could you do it? Could you just enjoy your lunch and co-workers without checking your cell phone? A middle school in Odessa is insisting that kids put the gadgets away while they eat lunch. Channel 8 reports The Walker Middle Magnet School put the "no electronics policy" in place this year. Instead of fiddling with a phone, they want the kids to actually TALK to each other, play games or do homework. The report says they tried it first just on Wednesdays last year. They called them "old school Wednesdays." Crazy thing... they say kids LIKE IT!

If the kids get caught with a gadget it's taken away. If they do it a second time, they have to wait til the end of the day to get it back. The third offense... it requires a parent to come pick it up!
