St. Petersburg’s Mayor Rick Kriseman declared the city to be ‘pet friendly’. Now, he is going to fight a bill in the Florida state legislature that might put a bite into that moniker.

State legislators are looking at a bill that would ban pets from being inside restaurants or other businesses “in which the public assembles’ (HB 243).

ABC Action News reports the bill would not only keep pets from being inside restaurants, but also keep them from passing through to sit outside. The bill would also set up a website for complaints.

The bill is for pets other than service animals.

How do you feel? Should pets be allowed in restaurants?
