Tampa’s Winter Village Ice Rink Opens November 22
OK so it might not be as ideal as the weather in New York City at Rockefeller Center, but yes, you CAN ice skate outside in Tampa, Florida thanks to a little magic and science!
An outdoor ice skating rink… in Florida? You betcha. Winter Village at Curtis Hixon Park in Tampa opens for 2019 on November 22 and runs through January 5, 2020. The rink offers views of the Riverwalk and Hillsbrough River (which no, you cannot skate on). A $15 ticket gets you 90 minutes of ice time and skating rental.
Hours:
Monday to Thursday 4pm to 9pm
Friday 4pm to 10pm
Saturday 10am to 10pm
Sunday Noon to 9pm
There will be extra hours during Hillsborough County School vacation. The park will be closed on Thanksgiving, but open Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
